Dear Members and Supporters,
I am writing to provide a brief update regarding our ongoing discussions with Leeds Leisure concerning pool hire fees.
As many of you know, we are currently facing significant challenges regarding the pricing structure applied to our club. We are working tirelessly to find a solution that not only ensures the financial sustainability of the club but also recognizes the significant social value we provide to the local community. Our goal remains clear: to secure a fair and equitable deal for our members that aligns with our status as a not-for-profit community group.
While these negotiations are challenging and ultimately frustrating, I want to be absolutely clear on one vital point: our challenge is not with the staff at Morley Leisure Centre.
Morley has been our home for over 100 years. We are incredibly lucky to work alongside the local team here. Their dedication to the service and to the people of Morley is impeccable, and they have always been friendly and accommodating to our club.
Please remember that the local staff are simply doing their jobs, and they have our full support and respect. Our lobbying efforts are directed at policy decisions made at the Head Office level, and under no circumstances does this reflect on the brilliant team we see on poolside every week.
We will continue to fight for a fair deal, but in the meantime, please join me in continuing to show the Morley Leisure Centre team the appreciation they deserve.
Sincerely,
Luke Smith:
President, Morley Water Polo Club
