FUNDRAISING

​Annual Julian Dawson Memorial Event

The Julian Dawson memorial water polo match was established in 2018 to commemorate the loss of Julian Dawson, who sadly lost his battle with cancer in 2018. Julian was a member of Morley Swimming and Water Polo Club for many years, during this time he served on the committee as membership secretary and was a member of the men's senior team. He leaves behind many lifelong friends who will greatly miss him.

The event consists of two matches. The first match played is the Morley Under 18s Team Vs the Morley Senior Women's Team. The second match is the Old Boys Team facing off against the Current Senior Men's Team. The event is organised in Julian's memory and each year we raise money for the Sue Ryder foundation who provide palliative care to people with terminal illnesses and support their families.
