+ OVER 130 YEARS REPRESENTING OUR TOWN

MORLEY WATER POLO & SWIMMING CLUB
EST 1892
Since 1892, Morley Swimming and Water Polo Club has been the beating heart of the town, woven into a rich history that spans from Prime Minister H.H. Asquith to Bridget Jones author Helen Fielding.
A true cradle of excellence, the club has nurtured sporting legends across generations, including Olympians Henry Inman and Adam Scholefield, alongside cycling icon Beryl Burton.
Today, over 130 years later, this deep-rooted institution continues to serve the borough just as it did in the 19th century, standing as a proud testament to Morley’s resilience and community spirit.

+ CREATING SOCIAL VALUE AND INCLUSION FOR ALL
At the heart of Morley Swimming and Water Polo Club lies a steadfast commitment to diversity and inclusion, ensuring that our waters remain open to everyone in our community.
We take immense pride in our thriving female section, where women and girls are not just participants but leaders, finding empowerment, confidence, and a lifelong passion for sport.
Equally, we are dedicated to breaking down barriers for people with disabilities, recognising the unique freedom the water provides. By offering an accessible and supportive environment, we champion the belief that physical challenges should never limit potential, creating a safe, welcoming haven where every member—regardless of gender or ability—is valued and given the opportunity to succeed.
As long as you're a competent swimmer, we are the club for you.
