Welfare Officer(s)

Our welfare officer(s) have an enhanced DBS check (enhanced disclosure with barred list check), have appropriate child safeguarding training and have completed time to listen training. The club welfare officer(s) are responsible for:

  • Implementing Wavepower

  • Planning child safeguarding

  • Being the point of contact for safeguarding arrangements

  • Being the first point of contact for any issues concerning child welfare

  • Acting independently and in the best interests of the club

  • Ensuring all relevant members have a valid DBS check

  • Being aware of relevant contacts regarding child welfare

  • Ensuring the club has Code of Conducts in place

  • Ensuring confidentiality is maintained
